Position Overview:
- Process all accounts payable invoices and payment requests, which includes coding in accordance with chart of accounts, matching invoices to purchase orders, if applicable, verifying and ensuring proper approval, and accumulating source documents for scanning.
- Process accounts receivable payments to include verifying accuracy of policyholder payments. Reviews credits and manual refunds on policies.
- Process approved invoices for payment and ensure proper filing of invoices after payments are processed into document system.
- Maintains vendor files including new vendor setup.
- Assists with preparation of year-end IRS and state reporting in accordance with regulations.
- Reconcile employee corporate credit card purchases to master billing reviewing, coding and ensuring compliance with company policy.
- Prepare reconciliation schedules and analyses for internal month-end reviews and year-end audits by the company’s external auditors.
- Responds to customer queries and conducts research related to invoice payments and approvals.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in related field and one-year related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple tasks in order to meet service level requirements.
- Strong customer service and team orientation and a helpful and courteous manner
- Detail and number oriented, with a high degree of accuracy.
- Use of discretion and judgment with confidential information and/or issues.
